We have an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and professional individual to join the Strategy, Commissioning and Service Improvement Service.

The successful applicant will manage the development and delivery of a data driven service to improve performance and achieve best value. The post also manages the compliance and quality assurance for the service which will include the introduction and management of a quality management system.

We are looking for someone who understands the importance of data and the insights this can provide to allow a complex service area to improve. You should be confident in producing dashboards, data and reports, in a way which allows service areas to improve, business and strategic planning activities and budget planning as well as managing the quality assurance, risk management and compliance within the service. You must have strong leadership skills and the ability to represent the service positively to a range of external stakeholders.

If you are someone who enjoys new opportunities and have skills demonstrating our behaviours – respect, integrity and flexibility as well as extensive experience of creating a high performing culture, driving change and service delivery, we would love to hear from you.

We're committed to creating a workplace culture where all our people feel valued, included and able to be their best at work, and we recognise the benefits that a diverse workforce with different values, beliefs, experience, and backgrounds brings to us as an organisation.

As part of our goal to improve our organisational culture and create a great place to work together for the people of Edinburgh, we want to make sure that we’re bringing the best people into our roles, not just in their skills and experience but also in their approach to work.

To help achieve this, we’re changing the way we interview and assess candidates by moving from a competency-based interview approach to a behavioural and technical (skills for the job) based approach. This new way of interviewing will allow us to assess how you think and how you would bring Our Behaviours of Respect, Integrity and Flexibility into your ways of working.

Our salary range typically reflects the initial starting salary and annually increases until it reaches the top of the range.
