Lead with passion, inspire excellence
We're looking for a dedicated and ambitious Assistant Principal to join us at our warm and friendly team at St Helen's Primary Academy. We believe in the power of education to transform lives, and this is your chance to shape the future, drive excellence, and create a lasting legacy of achievement.
About our school
We have special and unique learning communities that are proud to serve the village of Monk Bretton and surrounding areas. Our staff commute not just from Barnsley, but from Wakefield, Doncaster, Sheffield and beyond.
Within close proximity of Meadstead Primary Academy and Shafton Primary Academy who are also part of our Academy Trust. We help and support each other and draw from shared expertise.
At St Helens we are proud that our children have positive attitudes to learning, we deliver supportive leadership, and tailored professional learning opportunities. We are entering an exciting time for our school and now is a great time to join the fabulous and friendly team here at St Helens. Ofsted graded the school as GOOD in January 2024.
You will be supported, challenged, and given agency to achieve our ambitious goal - what we call 490 - by 2028. 490 means that we want 90% of our pupils to be scoring grade 4 or above in GCSE English and maths, to be secure readers for their age, to reach the expected standard in the key stage 1 phonics check, and to meet the expected standard in reading, writing and maths at key stage 2.
Together we can make great things happen.
With us, you'll work with our inspirational, committed people - people who share your passion for education and the future of children across the country.
We offer bespoke support to each of our schools and we'll always be ready with additional help and advice when you face specific challenges. You'll have access to our world-class expertise in curriculum and assessment, and with our expert operational support, you can get on with what matters most - your students and staff.
How we invest in you
We believe that talent drives performance. As a leader at Lift Schools, you'll have the backing of a national network, work closely with the schools in your region, and benefit from a tailored programme designed to help you grow and succeed.
We will give you the space and agency to champion your own development, underpinned by a dedicated package for learning and development.
The role is due to commence Jan 2025 or ASAP after this date.
Closing date: 8th January 2025
We reserve the right to close this vacancy early should we receive an overwhelming response. All candidates are advised to refer to the job description and person specification before making an application.
