Summary
Principle Purpose: The post holder will work across professional boundaries as a member of the Surgical Emergency Unit (SEU) and Nutrition and Dietetic teams at the John Radcliffe Hospital. Key components of the role will include: Supporting Surgical Dietitians, Nurses and other Healthcare Professionals in the delivery of excellent Nutrition-related care by undertaking a range of delegated and self-directed activities, including Malnutrition Screening and implementing Nutrition Care Plans. Managing a designated caseload, evaluating patients progress and modifying interventions with supervision from clinicians. Communicating nutrition-related information with patients, relatives, Dietitians and the wider Multidisciplinary Team (MDT). Organising, developing and executing activities designed to improve the MDTs knowledge and completion of nutritional screening and Dietetic care plans. Working with a diverse team of Dietitians, Therapy Assistants and SEU Nurses and Care Support Workers within SEU Triage, SEU D, SEU E and SEU F.
