Summary


The Cardiovascular CAG is offering an exciting opportunity to join the Barts Heart Centre’s Administrative Team leaders. We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated individual who will be responsible for the scheduling of admissions through our Cardiology Labs and work closely with the clinical teams in the area and beyond.

The post holder will be required to assist in the running of the admission service and improvement of services to the scheduling processes. They will be primarily planning, validating and backfilling to fully utilise cath lab slots. Schedulers are also required to assist in callings and booking patients whilst at times adhere to standard admin duties of the team.

You will take ownership of validation and data quality issues for the service; undertake complaint investigations; and lead on service improvement projects under the support and guidance of the Service Delivery Manager.

In return, we will develop your skills, knowledge and experience with formal and on-the-job training.

Your primary base will be St Bartholomew’s Hospital, West Smithfield, London, EC1A 7BE. We will enable flexible working patterns where possible.

The role requires the post holder to develop efficient and effective systems of work to ensure that patients experience good communication, and a personal and responsive service. The primary purpose of this post is to ensure provision of comprehensive and efficient booking and scheduling Services for patients, adhering to the Trusts Access policy with national and local access targets.
