Your new company
You will be working for a leading consultancy who are embarking on a new, cutting-edge technology project with their end client. The Programme is delivering a unified, real-time biometric service for government. It aims to technically converge the existing biometric systems capabilities that are critical for Immigration, Borders, Law Enforcement and other government departments. This matching capability is provided across three biometric modes: fingerprints, DNA and facial matching. These services enable the UK to capture, authenticate, verify, search and match individuals' biometrics and forensics for the purposes of crime scene investigation, visa applications, passport applications, border control, counter-terrorism and international cooperation
Your new role
You will be an experienced Network Architect, who currently holds current SC clearance (you will also be put through NPPV3 clearance whilst your SC clearance is being transferred). You will be a Network Architect for on-premises critical national infrastructure solution leading a mix of network new build, tech refresh and live service activities, ocumenting solutions into HLDs and LLDs as well as overseeing the overall network configuration management. You will be designing Network and related architectures based on use cases, requirements and\or RFI's, promoting best practise, standardisation, security, policies, and automation. You will have experience with network infrastructure: Cisco switches, firewalls, routers, ISE, F5 load-balancers, Juniper SRX, and SolarWinds monitoring. Knowledge of a wide range of networking concepts and technologies including: IPSec - site to site, Layer 2 e.g. STP, VPC, VLAN, OTV, Layer 3 e.g. IP, VRF, OSPF, QoS, IDS, HSRP, GRE, F5 LTM, Big DNS (GTM).
