Summary
This SZ3 position forms part of a dedicated team in RUAS and the primary duties include but are not limited to:
Completing the transactions to expend ammunition used on training/operational exercises, maintaining the stock holdings and actioning short and long-term loans.
Monitoring life expiry records, and orders placed to replenish required stocks. Ensuring all scrap, life expiry and brass are accounted for and disposed of in accordance with current policies including the progression and disposal of empty explosive containers, packages and fired brass.
Scrutinising and actioning all Demand Proforma requests from RUAS Inventory holders or Deputies and the placing of demands/stock replenishment for the RUAS to meet usage requirements.
Will be required to drive Service vehicles for your role, in addition to manual handling but appropriate training will be provided. Forklift driving would be desirable.
Additional tasks commensurate with the role and grade, including mandatory training and personal admin. This position will include some work from other Logistics areas on unit, and potential weekend work dependant on tasking to support business needs, so you would need to be adaptable.
If successful, you will need to undertake Dangerous Goods Training (Surface & Air), Explosives Training and Core Supply Civilian Training so some flexibility will be vital as courses can be at short notice and will involve time away from work and home.
