The post holder will provide administration to the MOT Approvals Team as part of the National Enforcement Group.

They will role model the required culture of engagement and inclusion.

They will develop their potential and guide their activities to ensure delivery of high quality, efficient and effective services that meet customer’s needs and delivers of Business Plan targets and standards; always looking for value for money and consistency of service.

They will participate in and implement change when required to ensure concerns from customers and stakeholders are dealt with at the appropriate level to DVSA expectations.

They will provide an efficient administrative support service to the directorates staff & customers.

They will oversee:

  • Application management.
  • Monitoring of appeals.
  • MOT scheme and delivery support.
  • Mileage amendments.
  • Management of ad hoc MOT communications.

The post holder requires excellent communication and stakeholder management skills as they will be working closely with External customers, Enforcement staff, MDT, MOT Policy and Intelligence teams as well as the wider National Enforcement Group and other government agencies.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • MOT Enforcement support.

  • Process replacement certificate requests.

  • Administration of applications for MOT for new and existing sites.

  • Administration of an MOT site closure.

  • Working with stakeholders to ensure fair and consistent vehicle and driver enforcement activities.
