Summary

Aston Business School is seeking a highly motivated and skilled individual to join our Alumni Relations team as an Alumni Relations Officer. In this role, you will connect with our global community of Business School graduates, developing strong relationships with key alumni to build a network of volunteers who will actively support the School’s strategic priorities.

As part of the College of Business and Social Sciences, Aston Business School has a dedicated Alumni Relations team, specialising in engagement with our Postgraduate and MBA alumni. You will work closely with the Alumni Relations Manager to deliver a comprehensive Alumni Relations Programme focused on building long-term, mutually beneficial relationships. Key responsibilities include recruiting and managing alumni volunteers, driving engagement initiatives, planning impactful events, and creating engaging content for communications. You will also collaborate with colleagues across the University to ensure alumni remain connected and involved in initiatives that enhance student employability, recruitment, and the School's global reputation.

This role is highly collaborative, requiring you to work seamlessly with teams across the School, College, and University, including the Community & Alumni Relations and Development team, Marketing, Careers and Placements, and academic departments. We are looking for a proactive professional with experience in alumni relations, stakeholder engagement, or related areas like marketing or events management. Strong customer service skills, excellent interpersonal and communication abilities, and a talent for building relationships with diverse internal and external stakeholders are essential. A degree or equivalent experience is required, along with proficiency in using CRM databases and digital communication tools. Previous experience in higher education or volunteer management is highly desirable.
