Summary
The ideal candidate will provide solutions to maintain fluid production through our workshop assisting both engineers and office personnel alike. The role is to provide services of manual labour along with general communications through the team to ensure high quality, efficient standard of work is processed throughout.
Our company deals with a wide variety of sectors in the sales, repair and service of roots type blowers, along with other aspects of pneumatic conveying and general air related pressure products.
We are a small team and becoming part of the team is essential.
Basic Requirements
• Must be well organised and can use own initiative to plan next jobs
• Clean Driving License
• Current FLT License (Desired)
• Team Player
• Good Time Keeping
• Must be competent in using Microsoft Excel Spreadsheets and other basic IT
software
• Having some basic mechanical engineering experience would be an
advantage but not essential.
• Good communication skills with other members of staff.
Duties
Blower Repair & Workshop Functions
• Loading and unloading delivery vehicles
• Receive and book in machines for repair, including preparation of required
paperwork for workshop
• Process repair parts through the cleaning process and hand clean if required.
• Receive and book in purchase orders for repairs and sales
• Progress outstanding purchase orders for repair, service work and spares kits
to ensure our customers required delivery dates are met.
• Prepare repair kits, reclaim work and other purchased items for repairs.
• Receipt and dispatch of repairs parts and subcontract orders
• Prepare blowers for building using all equipment provided
• Paint finished products and preparing for dispatch including paperwork.
• Control storage of customer and service exchange repairs
• Efficient organisation of dismantled machine on racking.
• Production of filters and filter foams (after suitable training)
• Assist workshop engineers when required. Possible site work might be
involved.
Stock Control
• Collection and delivery of customer and supplier orders
• Pick and pack sales orders
• Ensure stock of ancillaries stays at a sufficient level
Other Workshop
• Health & Safety & housekeeping checks on FLT, vehicles, and routine safety
checks. Weekly & monthly basis
• Undertake record keeping and document input.
• Ensure the workshop area is kept clean and tidy.
• Carry out other duties which may be required
Hours 07.30 to 16.15 Monday to Thursday. Friday 07.30 to 14.45
