Summary
Lab Support Assistant
We have an opening to support our Pharmaceutical client within the North Ayrshire area, offering Laboratory support working within an integrated environment and with a well established team. A fantastic opportunity for an individual seeking experience in a laboratory environment or change in career
The Lab Support Assistant's role is a very physical and varied role across all support functions within a laboratory which allows our client to focus on critical analysis of their product.
The role includes, but is not limited to:
-Stock management and eluent preparation
-Stores Management
-Retained samples and customer order preparation
-Stability Sampling
-Sampling of Raw Materials
-Waste management
-Laboratory equipment and glassware cleaning
-Equipment calibrations and Functionality Testing
-Porterage and administration
-Tubewriting
-Backfill support for PS lab
The role will require to support the 24/7 nature of the business, as a result weekends and bank holidays will require to be covered on occasion as per business needs.
Key Accountabilities
-Ensure that tasks are completed according to the schedule and therefore have no negative impact on production.
-Accountable for adopting the ALCOA+ (attributable, legible, contemporaneous, original & accurate) principles.
-Maintaining 100% in MyLearning & Mitie Learning hub
-Flexibility to cover any activities that supports plant production
What we are looking for
-Attention to detail & capability to work methodically to strict processes and procedures
-Preference of individual having worked in GxP or strict regulatory environment but not essential
-Individual with experience of stock management or worked in warehouse environment
-Experience with SAP/MERPs would be advantageous but not essential
-PC literate in office and excel.
-Ability to communicate effectively and foster good working relationships with a wide range of client, internal and external roles
-Confidence and communication skills to challenge behaviours and drive continuous improvement.
-Can perform under pressure and independent of supervision
The site produces antibiotics and anyone with a Penicillin allergy will not be permitted to work on this site.
