You will be responsible for providing expert guidance on health and safety issues, conducting risk assessments, and promoting a culture of safety among employees at all levels. Your focus will be on preventing workplace accidents and injuries through proactive measures, training, and continuous improvement initiatives. This role requires strong communication and analytical skills to effectively convey safety information and analyze data to support decision-making. As a Health and Safety Advisor, you will collaborate with various departments to identify potential hazards, develop appropriate safety protocols, and ensure the well-being of employees. Your contributions will be vital in creating a safe, compliant, and productive workplace, making sure both staff and management are engaged in health and safety efforts. Responsibilities
Develop, implement, and review health and safety policies and procedures.
Conduct regular risk assessments and safety audits to identify hazards.
Provide training and support to staff on health and safety regulations and best practices.
Monitor adherence to safety standards and legal requirements.
Investigate incidents and accidents, providing reports and recommendations for improvement.
Promote a safety-first culture through communication and engagement with employees.
Stay updated on relevant legislation and industry trends to ensure compliance and best practices.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety or a related field.
Certified safety professional (CSP) or equivalent certification preferred.
Proven experience in a health and safety advisor role or similar position.
Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations and compliance standards.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to analyze data and generate reports effectively.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Hours Per Week: 37.00
Start Time: 09:00
End Time: 17:00
Pay Per Annum: £21.50
