We are looking to recruit a dedicated Support Worker to join our team and help provide support within our respite service in South Shields.

The Role

At Bisley Drive we support guests within a 7 bedroom respite short break service for adults with learning disabilities.

We are looking for individuals who are experienced in delivering support.

Support provided:


Tending to all aspects of daily living including personal care
Domestic Household Support
Support with budget and finances
Social Support
Family Support
Medication Support
Liaison with Health Professionals and Social Care Professionals
In house/ out house activities
Staff ratio varies on needs of the guests in at any given time.


Enhanced DBS check will be required for this role

Shift Patterns

Relief hours available but must be able to work nights and sleep overs, and occasional shift patterns days, evenings, weekends,

All shifts are 13 hour shifts, minimum 2 shifts per week , therefore you would need to be able to work minimum contract of 26 hours a week covering all shift patterns.
