Summary
The Assistant Validation Technicians will be trained to find water leaks on the underground water networks within the North London Area.
This is a fantastic opportunity to get into the water Industry for the right candidate – Some leakage experience would be advantageous but an eagerness to learn would be paramount.
Working 4 x 10hr night shifts – Monday-Thursday
To gain knowledge/understanding of the following responsibilities:
Interpret and understand water network schematics and plans
Water Network and distribution, Hydraulics
To understand and carryout PZT/ZPT
Flow Testing Meters – 5,10,15 flow rates
Boundary Valve investigations/proving
Quantification Inc. using portable flow meters
Utility tracing
Knowledge and experience of Pressure/Flow monitoring
Person specification
To have the intellect and ability to quickly learn new theories, techniques and working methods associated with duties and tasks
The ability to follow procedures and instructions
Excellent Communication and Interpersonal Skills to enable effective communication with internal and external colleagues.
Knowledge and experience of flow data capture techniques and methods
Good organisational and time management skills
Able to work well under pressure and to conflicting deadlines whilst maintaining attention to detail and high levels of standards
Team player, flexible, co-operative attitude to working and giving and receiving help
Other Information
All necessary Health and Safety training will be provided as required.
All necessary PPE will be provided.
