Summary

We are looking for an enthusiastic person with the skills to join our team that values expertise and dedication in the field of mechanical engineering!

You will be based in our vehicle workshop.

Our fitters service and repair all refuse and street cleansing vehicles and grounds maintenance plant and equipment in accordance with manufacturer’s instructions. In addition, we undertake taxi inspections for both Hackney Carriage and Private Hire.

We are looking for a fitter with a Level 3 IMIAL qualification (Institute of Motor Industry Awards Limited) or equivalent.

You must also be numerate and have experience of keeping accurate records. Basic computer skills and familiarity with the use of computerised fleet management systems is desirable.

We can offer a supportive learning environment which will include Driver CPC and relevant Health and Safety qualifications along with manufacturers’ training relating to cab, chassis, body and bin lift on our refuse vehicles, vehicle operator Licence awareness and vehicle service and maintenance scheduling.
