We are seeking a dynamic, motivated and forward-thinking person to join us to coordinate the multi-agency Falkirk Children’s Services Partnership and to lead on Getting it Right for Every Child (GIRFEC). This unique role is both challenging and exciting and requires someone who is passionate about making a difference and working with children and families to develop strategic planning and the implementation of GIRFEC in Falkirk.

As Children’s Services Partnership Coordinator & GIRFEC Lead, you will be responsible for the Integrated Children’s Services Plan, Children’s Rights Plan, and other related plans, to implement UNCRC, GIRFEC, The Promise and the duties under the Children and Young People (Scotland) Act 2014 on behalf of the Children’s Services Partnership. You will oversee the operation of Children’s Partnership subgroups and co-ordinate reporting from these groups to ensure quality improvement across the partnership.

As lead for the GIRFEC you will chair the GIRFEC group and lead on the development and implementation of the GIRFEC action plan. You will be part of the Children’s Partnership Learning and Development Group leading on the design and delivery GIRFEC training with partners.

We are looking for someone with:

  • Extensive experience of working in/ with the public sector and children’s services planning
  • Proven ability to lead multi-agency working
  • In depth knowledge of Getting it Right for Every Child
  • Understanding and experience of planning across the community planning partnership and children’s partnerships.
  • In depth knowledge of legislation including the Children and Young People (Scotland) Act 2014.
  • Passion and commitment to making a difference

You will have a degree qualification or equivalent in the following:

  • Education, Community Education, Psychology, Social Work, Policy

If you are the successful candidate, you will be required to gain/maintain PVG scheme membership.
