About the Role
Sitting within the Council's GIS Team, the role will manage a caseload to meet statutory Street Naming and Numbering (SNN) responsibilities, reviewing planning applications to agree and assign property numbers and street names with developers and members of the public. The role will also manage and maintain the Council's related address and street databases, ensuring accuracy and currency, providing data analysis and extracts, and advising on its dissemination and use within the Council to maximise it's value across the organisation and beyond.
About You
The ideal candidate will have:
· Ability and experience of working towards and adhering to legislation, standards and policy, ideally in relation to Street Naming and Numbering, and Address and Street databases
· Experience of managing a caseload to meet deadlines and customer expectations
· Knowledge of address products/ databases and their value
· An appreciation and understanding of the value of good data quality
· Experience of working with large volumes of data and data inputting, with excellent attention to detail and accuracy
· Ability to communicate effectively with senior officers, other team members, external organisations and the general public both verbally and in writing.
