Summary
We are seeking a reliable and skilled 7.5 Tonne Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of goods to customers addresses. You will also be expected to lift and carry along with Drivers Mate into the address.
A background in commercial driving, particularly with flatbed vehicles, is highly desirable.
Responsibilities
Operate a 7.5 tonne vehicle for the delivery of goods to designated locations.
Ensure all deliveries are made in a timely manner while adhering to traffic laws and company policies.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance.
Load and unload goods, ensuring they are secured properly for transport.
Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including any discrepancies or issues encountered during transit.
Provide excellent customer service during interactions with clients at delivery points.
Report any vehicle maintenance issues promptly to management.
Requirements
Valid UK driving licence with the appropriate category for driving a 7.5 tonne vehicle.
Previous experience as a delivery driver or in commercial driving is preferred.
Familiarity with flatbed vehicles is advantageous.
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
A commitment to safety and compliance with all relevant regulations.
