We are a small team designing, enabling and delivering a wide portfolio of people, capability building and learning and development related products. This post will require the individual to work collaboratively and at pace with a number of key stakeholders across our wider business and within People Development Team (PDT). We are looking for someone who is highly motivated, self – driven and has the ability to lead in an ever changing environment. Key tasks:
- Strong, effective leadership, emotionally aware, supporting the team you are part of to be innovative, adaptable and flexible.
- Support the development and delivery of capability products and services and build strong relationships with colleagues across Child Maintenance Service (CMS) and other parts of DWP.
- Identify and implement processes to enhance and further develop technical learning. Working closely with Operations to identify ways to improve learning journeys and share best practice.
- Team work and collaboration with stakeholders in finding impactful solutions to capability gaps.
- Proven experience in creating an inclusive working environment promoting good decision making and problem solving.
- Understand and contribute to CMS’s responsibility to professionalise our workforce, in particular, support build of a tailored Apprenticeships to enhance colleague experience.
- Be an integral member of the team, working closely with colleagues to lead, support and influence national strategies, design, development and implementation of changes, identifying, highlighting and resolving new issues.
- Encourage a culture of innovation, focused on adding value and giving people space to think and act creatively.
- Effective facilitation and learning delivery skills, with passion and drive via digital and Face To Face platforms.
- Take responsibility for maximising your own development and that of the team, creating a culture where good performance is praised and poor performance is challenged.
