Summary
Responsibilities :
Supervise and manage kitchen staff, ensuring that all kitchen activities run smoothly and efficiently.
Mentor and provide training to new and existing kitchen staff, helping them develop their culinary skills and improve their performance.
Ensure the consistent preparation of high-quality Indian dishes, maintaining the authenticity and presentation standards of the restaurant.
Oversee the maintenance of kitchen hygiene and cleanliness, ensuring compliance with all health and safety regulations.
Manage kitchen inventory, including ordering supplies, checking stock levels, and ensuring proper storage of ingredients.
Monitor food preparation and cooking times to ensure prompt delivery of orders and a high standard of food quality.
Control food costs and minimize waste, ensuring the kitchen operates within budget and maximises profitability.
Collaborate with the front-of-house staff to ensure smooth communication and efficient service to customers.
Give feedback on menu planning and developing new recipes or specials that align with the restaurant's theme and customer preferences.
Requirements :
No formal qualifications required but candidates are expected to have around 3-4+ years experience as a kitchen manager
