Summary

The production planning community ensures that our client’s site has the capacity and capability to deliver their ongoing aviation production requirements, in accordance with aircraft commercial delivery dates. The department is key to providing the Senior Management team with the data required to enable them to make important strategic and tactical decisions, working collaboratively with other functions, to ensure optimal planning results e.g. Operations, Logistics, Finance, Human Resources, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, etc

Based onsite working 4.5 days between the hours of 7am – 7pm (hours agreed at business discretion) any overtime is paid at a premium rate (25% Mon-Fri and 50% Sat-Sun)

You will be responsible for:

• Producing and maintaining the mid to long term MPS (Master Production Schedule) for all the products across in the Broughton plant.
• Updating tactical build plans, which are used to optimise production in the shorter term.
• Calculating resource requirements, to ensure we have workload / workforce alignment
• It is the Planning team who monitors the adherence to the build plan, whilst ensuring it is achievable.

What you will be doing:

• Master Production Scheduling (MPS)
• Tactical planning & work package monitoring
• Capacity and resource calculations
• Planning assumption agreement
• Refinement and optimisation of the production build plans
• Recovery planning
• Scenario analysis
• Compilation of key performance indicators (KPI’s) for reporting and monitoring of the business

Experience / Skills:

Experience of Production Scheduling / Production Planning ESSENTIAL
• Ideally from an aviation/aerospace background, failing that any Manufacturing/Engineering experience
• Any experience of using Google suite and similar digital tools (e.g MS Office)
• Solid planning experience
• Need a self-starter, someone who is motivated and will be able to hit the ground running
• Excellent communicator with exceptional organisational skills
• Proficiency in oral and written communication skills
• Collaborating well within a team
• Able to interface with other functions in a production environment
• A keenness to learn and develop
• A working knowledge of Python coding would also be an advantage.
