Summary


At St Monica's we provide high standards of rehabilitation, palliative, general nursing, medical and day care, including physiotherapy and occupational therapy to patients who are registered with local GP surgeries.

As a member of our small but effective multi-disciplinary team, and with the support of a highly experienced Senior Nursing Team, you will join an established team and support them in providing efficient and effective delivery of high quality care to ensure a positive patient experience.

The post requires staff with focus, enthusiasm, drive and commitment, and an ability to work closely with different members of the Multi-disciplinary team to assist with the smooth running of the ward to aid effective patient care.

In this role you will carry out non-nursing duties as delegated by other members of the team; using your own initiative within the level of competence expected for the role. This will include things such as delivering drink rounds/ assisting to deliver meals/ making of beds and the general cleaning and tidying of the ward on a daily basis.

We are seeking dynamic individuals who are passionate about providing an effective service. You will be able to communicate at all levels to help drive our service forward and maintain high standards.

Main duties of the job include:

Assisting other members of the team to deliver both drinks and meals to the patients.

Making of beds and packing away laundry deliveries.

Organising and packing away of weekly stores order.

General tidying and cleaning around the unit.

Assisting other members of the team to communicate with patients and delegate information accordingly.

Assisting other members of the team to provide a person centred, smooth running service to the patients and family members at all times.
