At Falkirk Council, our vision is to build strong communities where inequalities are reduced, and lives are improved. To help us achieve this, we’re seeking enthusiastic and adaptable Casual Customer First Advisers to join our dynamic team within the Customer First Contact Centre.

About the Role

Our bustling Contact Centre handles over 500,000 customer calls and enquiries each year, spanning a wide range of Council services. Whether it’s over the phone, via email, or through online enquiries, our mission is to provide a first-class service at the very first point of contact.

With most services operating from 9am to 5pm and extended hours for some from 8am to 8:30pm, we’re seeking team players who excel at handling both emergency and general enquiries for the public and internal teams.

What We’re Looking For

To thrive in this role, you’ll need:

  • Proven experience in a similar front-line, customer-facing position.
  • Exceptional communication and customer care skills.
  • Strong numeracy skills and familiarity with computerised systems.
  • The ability to process diverse enquiries with a high level of accuracy and confidentiality.
  • A working knowledge of Council services and statutory functions (preferred).
  • A minimum of SVQ Level II in Customer Service (or equivalent experience).
  • Familiarity with ICT databases related to Contact Centre service areas (preferred).

Why Join Us?

  • Flexible casual positions available.
  • Enjoy the benefits of hybrid working, with most of your time spent working from home.
  • Be part of a team that’s making a real impact on communities across Falkirk.

You will work on an as and when required basis.

If you’re ready to provide exceptional service and contribute to our mission of building stronger communities, we’d love to hear from you
