Summary

12-month fixed term contract
We're looking for a Senior Product Developer to join our Co-op. In this role you'll lead, coach and inspire a team of Product Developers to deliver the overarching product development strategy for Co-op own brand. You'll make sure our offering is always recognised as high quality, innovative and great value for money. Using performance data and customer insights, we'll look to you to create a positive customer perception of Co-op own brand products.
What you'll do
- Lead and inspire a high performing team, coaching performance, and development
- Collaborate with senior leaders on the creation & execution of the overarching Product Development strategy
- Make sure ranges fit brand values, align to tiering and benchmark appropriately
- Look for ways to improve our processes and products to increase quality and value throughout the development cycle
- Participate in a Seasonal Working group, leading our seasonal trend creation & making sure the team are fully engaged to deliver all key seasonal events
- Champion quality and own brand values both internally and externally
- Build strong supplier relationships, creating cross functional aligned multi-year supplier strategies
This role would suit people who have
- A relevant degree or equivalent experience in Food Science and/or Development
- A passion for food and strong knowledge of innovation trends
- The ability to lead and develop a successful team
- A high level of commercial awareness
- The ability to work cross functionally and build strong internal and external relationships
- Experience working across multiple categories and ideally across temperature regimes
