About the Role:
As a Kitchen Assistant, you’ll play a vital role in supporting the kitchen team to deliver nutritious, delicious, and well-presented meals for our residents. You’ll help ensure the kitchen runs smoothly while maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and food safety.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in food preparation and cooking under the guidance of the Chef.
Serve meals, ensuring residents’ dietary requirements and preferences are met.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organised kitchen and dining area.
Handle washing up and sanitising duties.
Support stock management by checking deliveries and storing supplies appropriately.
Adhere to food hygiene and health & safety regulations at all times.
What We’re Looking For:
A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
Strong teamwork skills and the ability to work independently when required.
Basic understanding of food hygiene (training provided if needed).
Previous experience in a kitchen or catering environment is an advantage but not essential.
Food hygiene Level 1
A caring and empathetic nature, with a genuine passion for supporting others.
An Enhanced DBS Check is required for this role.
