We are seeking to recruit two enthusiastic people with a 'can do' attitude and a good attention to detail to join the Care Charging Team. The Care Charging Team is made up of 5 Care Charging Officers and is responsible for the timely collection of care charges and account adjustments.

What will you be doing?

• Manage individual accounts in relation to residential and community care charge processes.
• Ensure charges for care and support are raised correctly.
• Act on information received regarding service provision and adjust the account accordingly in line with procedures.
• Investigate discrepancies which impact on the account with the aim to ensure accurate account balances and a transparent process.
• Ensure charges are paid in a timely manner.
• Engage in regular communication with service providers, other professionals and service users and their representatives.
• The overall aim is to reduce the level of debt on any account and arrange refunds if necessary.

What knowledge, skills, and experience do you need?

• Manage workloads, prioritise work, and know when to escalate issues.
• Have a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Have good communication skills.
• Experience of finances, charges, or social care.
• Emotional resilience to deal with potentially challenging situations.
