Summary
Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Cleaner to maintain cleanliness and hygiene across the facilities at Nuneaton Rugby Football Club. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all areas of the clubs communal spaces are kept in excellent condition. This role is vital to providing a welcoming and safe environment for our members and staff.
Key Responsibilities
• General Cleaning:
o Clean and sanitise all indoor facilities, including marque, changing rooms, and bar area.
o Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors; wipe down surfaces and disinfect high-touch areas like doorknobs, light switches, and handrails.
o Empty waste bins and dispose of rubbish regularly in appropriate disposal areas.
• Toilets
o Regularly sanitise toilets, sinks, mirrors, and floors to meet health and safety standards.
• Equipment and Facility Maintenance:
o Ensure all equipment is cleaned and properly stored after use.
o Report any maintenance or repair issues to the Facilities Manager promptly.
• General Maintenance:
o Clean windows, mirrors, and glass doors to maintain clarity and shine.
o Ensure all areas are safe and hazard-free by promptly cleaning up spills or other messes.
• Stock and Supply Management:
o Monitor and request cleaning supplies when stock is low.
o Maintain inventory of cleaning materials and equipment.
• Health & Safety Compliance:
o Follow all health and safety guidelines when using cleaning materials and equipment.
o Ensure that cleaning methods comply with club standards and regulations.
• Customer Service:
o Maintain a professional and friendly demeanour when interacting with club members, guests, and staff.
o Be proactive in maintaining the overall appearance and cleanliness of the facility.
Skills & Qualifications
• Previous cleaning experience, preferably in a sports or leisure environment.
• Knowledge of cleaning products, techniques, and safety protocols.
• Ability to work independently and take initiative.
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Good physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects (e.g., cleaning equipment, furniture).
• Reliable, punctual, and committed to maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
• Ability to communicate effectively with team members and management.
Desired Traits
• Friendly and approachable attitude.
• Proactive and reliable with a keen eye for detail.
• Strong work ethic and commitment to upholding club standards.
Physical Requirements
• Ability to stand, bend, stoop, and kneel for extended periods of time.
