Job Description

Baxterstorey is seeking a skilled and passionate Barista to join our team in Solihull. As a Barista, you will be responsible for crafting exceptional coffee beverages and providing outstanding customer service in a fast-paced environment.

  • Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, including espresso-based beverages, filter coffee, and speciality drinks
  • Operate and maintain espresso machines, grinders, and other coffee equipment
  • Create latte art and present beverages in an visually appealing manner
  • Take customer orders and process payments accurately
  • Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to food safety and hygiene standards
  • Educate customers about our coffee offerings, including bean origins and flavour profiles
  • Assist in inventory management and stock rotation
  • Contribute to a positive team atmosphere and support colleagues during peak hours


Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a Barista, preferably in a busy café or coffee shop
  • Excellent knowledge of coffee preparation techniques and ability to operate espresso machines
  • Strong latte art skills and attention to detail in beverage presentation
  • Proficiency in using point-of-sale systems
  • Food hygiene certificate (desirable)
  • In-depth knowledge of coffee beans, roasts, and brewing methods
  • Exceptional customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanour
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Flexibility to work various shifts
