What you'll get to work on


Working as part of a logistics team, you’ll supervise a small team including warehouse operatives, admin assistants and drivers whilst assisting the Manager, your focus will be operational control of warehousing / yard and transport functions for a nominated site. The role holder will plan and organise their own workload, balancing conflicting priorities with minimal supervision.

The logistics supervisor will maintain an effective and compliant operation across all responsible activities and ensure adherence to all legal, operational and SHE procedures.

- Managing a small team of employees to meet operational needs
- Filing and record keeping for Risk Assessments / Safe System of Work Documents
- Managing materials via SAP system and warehouse management systems
- ‘O’ license administration & control of compliance of Transport
- Accurate training records for Secondary Stores operations, including inductions for new starters and agency employees
- Working to site & contract specific SHESQ policies and procedures
- Point of contact for customer queries and requests
- Willing to travel to other warehouses/stores when required





Who are we looking for



- Must have experience of working in a similar role
- Required to hold a full driving licence
- Experience of Fleet compliance record keeping
- A knowledge of good practice relating to Health and Safety Regulations
- Knowledge of inventory stock management
- Data input and analysis skills
- Good communicative skills both verbally and in written form
- Be able to work on own initiative, proactive approach and can do attitude with excellent attention to detail.
- Logical thinking with the ability to resolve problems quickly and effectively
- A good level of numeracy and verbal reasoning.
