New Forest District Council is seeking an ambitious and dynamic Economic Development Manager to guide our efforts in enabling a prosperous and sustainable future for the New Forest.

The past year has seen us prepare a new Corporate Plan, begin work on our new Local Plan and work increasingly closely with the Solent Freeport and the potential growth opportunities arising. About the role

As the Economic Development Manager, you will lead a dedicated team to deliver strategies and initiatives that strengthen the New Forest’s economy including an emerging skills action plan. From supporting local businesses and attracting investment to championing environmental sustainability and partnership working, you’ll be at the forefront of unlocking the district’s economic potential. A key initial area of work is expected to be the preparation of an Economic Development Strategy.
