Summary
Clinical Responsibilities To assist with patient care needs under the supervision of a registered nurse. Carry out nursing duties as assigned by qualified staff To work with the nursing staff to deliver individualised nursing care. Report to a registered nurse on care given to patients. Assist patients with their dietary needs as directed by a registered nurse. Participate in the admission and discharge of patients in conjunction with the multi-professional team as directed by a registered nurse. Escort patients to other areas of the hospital. To complete Care Certificate in accordance with Trust policy and work towards extended healthcare support worker competencies. Acquire a basic knowledge of spinal cord injury, and be aware of the hazards which may result from incorrect procedures.
