An opportunity has arisen to join the Animal and Equine team at Easton College as a Personal Development Coach. We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual who is seeking to provide pastoral and personal development support to our students.

The ideal candidate will be able to provide coaching for students with their personal development, facilitate group personal development sessions which focus on developing personal, study and employability skills, and hold individual tutorials. Candidates should have a particular interest in supporting students to overcome barriers to their learning and to support access into the wider college support services.

You will work closely with other Personal Development Coaches across the Land-based directorate to provide a consistent approach, whilst also liaising closely with teaching staff to ensure you have access to all relevant information required to make tutorials meaningful and have impact on students’ performance.

Applicants should have a relevant level 4 or equivalent qualification and/or recent relevant vocational experience. Previous experience as a youth worker would be advantageous.

As a College we are required to undertake various Safer Recruitment checks as set out within the guidance from the Department for Education Keeping Child Safe in Education. We require all staff to undertake an enhanced Adult and Child Workforce DBS Check and to register with the DBS Update Service. Please note: From 28 November 2020 the government implemented changes to the filtering rules, and we have been instructed that we cannot accept any update service checks on DBS certificates that have been issued before this date. Therefore, a new one must be completed with City College Norwich.
