Summary
About the role
We are looking for an experienced electoral administrator to join our electoral services team.
The team organises and delivers all elections and referenda within the borough and conducts the electoral registration functions both for the annual canvass process and on a monthly basis.
You will also be involved with the implementation of new legislative requirements (e.g. Elections Act 2022 provisions), reviews within the sector, the development of electoral service provision for the authority and engagement with electors, young people, candidates, agents and elected members.
About you
The ideal candidate will have experience of delivering different types of elections and electoral registration processes along with knowledge and practical experience of using an electoral management software system.
You must be able to work to tight statutory deadlines, work effectively with minimum supervision as well as being a strong team player who is flexible, committed and enthusiastic.
It is essential that you have good interpersonal skills and are able to react positively to changing priorities, is willing to embrace new technology and explore new ways of working.
