Job Purpose/Objectives of a Hire Desk Administrator
To support the depot operation and specific projects such as Hinkley Point C, Devonport Docks and any new or existing project that may arise, providing effective administration support to our customers and the existing Depot teams. To gain efficiencies through bulk completion of standardised tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Raise PO's
- Goods in processing
- Book accommodation
- Book hire cars/ travel
- Verify Short notice route approvals
- Issue Quotes
- Manage ancillaries booking out /in and billing-Daily
- Chase e-signing- daily
- Manage and support Booking in and out of Cranes and Labour on various customer portals
- Support Query investigation and resolution
- Receive on-going development and training towards Hire Desk role (succession plan)
- Provide short term cover on Hire Desk during periods of leave etc.
Person specification
Education/Knowledge/Experience
- Minimum GCSE or equivalent in Maths & English
- 2-years' experience of working within a team environment in an Admin role
- Regional geographical knowledge
- Knowledge and understanding of the requirements of working within a time critical service environment
Skills/Abilities
- IT literate - comfortable using systems including CRM, Outlook, Word and PowerPoint
- Ability to influence and persuade and have flexibility
- Good time management skills
- Organised with the ability to simplify complex issues
- Able to communicate at all levels, both in verbal & written form
