The GTI promotes the UK as a premium destination for overseas buyers and investors. It is a central part of the Government’s world-renowned GREAT Britain and Northern Ireland campaign.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic marketing team that sits within the wider marketing and communications team at DBT. Working alongside creative professionals across the department, you will lead on the international marketing promotion of the Industrial Strategy. The Industrial Strategy is part of DBT’s plan to drive long-term, sustainable, inclusive and secure growth and deliver real-world impacts to people right across the country. It is a critical part of the government’s growth mission, being led by HM Treasury, to secure the highest sustained growth in the G7.
You will be responsible for ensuring our communication and marketing activity is insight-based, audience-focused and delivers measurable outcomes in support of DBT business priorities. You will work collaboratively across the Department and the international network to provide campaign leadership.
- Deliver effective, measurable and transparent marketing outcomes through campaigns –paid and low-cost/no-cost.
- Develop audience driven, evidence based integrated marketing campaigns in support of DBT priorities, underpinned by robust evaluation.
- Deliver against international campaign objectives by taking ownership of paid activations across channels – lead generation and awareness.
- Oversee the production of campaign content/collateral and briefing products to support the strategic approach.
- Respond efficiently and effectively to commissions from Ministers, special advisers and senior teams across DBT as business priorities emerge.
- Support an engaged and high-performing international marketing function.
- Maximise the return on investment from budgets allocated for marketing activity and ensure spend is properly managed.
- Liaise with the business, including agencies and international posts, to understand their needs, enhance existing relationships in place, improve internal collaboration and advise on the role marketing can best play.
- Work closely with insight and evaluation colleagues to ensure campaign strategies are insight led and outcomes measurable. Work with them to develop reporting dashboards as required by the leadership team.
- The successful candidate will be a motivational leader who will support and raise the capability of the team, by ensuring that all parts function smoothly and to a high standard.
