Summary
1. Background K2 Healthcare is a GP federation constituted of 16 member GP Practices in South West Lincolnshire with two Primary Care Networks and supporting a population of 135,000 people. K2 works together toshare resources and expertise that enable practices to provide shared services and business systems to provide the best possible care for our population, ensure sustainability, growth and value for GP practices and system partners within available resources. The Better Lives Lincolnshire Integrated Care System sees us working in collaboration with the Primary Care Network Alliance, Secondary Care, Community Health, Mental Health, Social Care as well as Local Authorities, and the Community and Voluntary Sector. How we do it is as important as what we do and relationships with our partners is at the core of everything we do. 2. Purpose You will work with the K2 Operations Team and partners across the system to design and deliver innovative new health care services and to manage and develop existing K2 operational services and deliver the PCN contract requirements. With a portfolio of potential initiatives already within the business pipeline, the Project Manager will support service design and operational modelling, the production of business cases and the implementation and embedding of change plans. The role holder will ensure that solutions are developed and presented with clear and comprehensive project plans and will be responsible for engaging with stakeholders to implement these plans. New services will meet the needs of commissioners in key areas of patient care, value for money and compliance and deliver sustainable business in line with the K2 business plan. 3. Key Activities The following details common, key activities that the Project Manager will complete within the responsibilities of their role. This is not intended to be an exhaustive list but is intended to help support and guide work. Service Design Turn new service proposals into design solutions by engaging with operational and clinical stakeholders to identify practical solutions to design and deliver new services. Co-design, workshops and engagement, leading innovation Analysis of population, activity, and cost data Patient journey construction Clinical Compliance Supplier development Business Case Development Using design solutions for new services to develop commercial business cases that demonstrate value for money for the Clinical Commissioner and sustainable income for K2 Healthcare. Including: Options and recommendations Cost Benefits analysis Finance models Processes and Compliance Risks analysis Project Management Development of clear and comprehensive implementation and change plans. End-to-end project delivery including Project Initiation Planning and control Communications Quality assurance Risks, Issues, Decisions, and reports Lessons Primary Care Network and Operational Management Management and PCN services, existing and new, and supporting practices to deliver the PCN contractual requirements. Supporting practices to deliver the PCN DES contractual requirements Management of staff and services delivered by Additional Roles Reimbursement Scheme and other K2 services Supporting GP practices with business systems and change Systm1 reporting and performance management The role holder will be expected to use recognised project management methodologies and other NHS Standards as appropriate however whilst project management skills are essential, the K2 Chief Executive Officer will provide guidance and support to ensure that methodology is adaptable and appropriate for different projects and stakeholders. Operational management may be required on an ongoing basis and as part of transition to business as normal. 4. Skills / Knowledge / Experience Service Design and operational modelling experience Analytical skills, dealing with highly complex information from multiple sources, which requires analysis, interpretation and will be used to inform service design. Development of business cases and service proposals Financial and resource modelling and project budget control Extensive, adaptable Project Management skills and experience Excellent communication skills and change management experience Ability to deal with confidential and sensitive issues when consulting with team members and other professionals. Line management and development of staff and teams Capable of working with minimal supervision The ability to travel independently as required Excellent IT skills 5.
