The Job:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Farm Manager to join a highly respected agricultural business at their breeder laying farm in Kirkby Lonsdale. In this role, you will support the Farm Manager in maintaining high welfare and operational standards.

Key responsibilities include:

Managing ventilation, heating, lighting, feed and water systems to ensure optimal conditions for bird welfare.
Keeping accurate farm records, including data on birds, feed and suppliers.
Supervising and coordinating Farm Assistants to ensure smooth daily operations.
Covering the Farm Manager during rest or holiday periods.
Ensuring compliance with health, safety and hygiene standards.
This is a hands-on role, requiring strong leadership, decision-making skills and the ability to work independently when necessary.
