Senior Residential Childrens Support Worker

Salary from £27,590 per annum
PS Recruitment have a fantastic opportunity for a residential support worker to work with our fantastic client offering support their home based in Stockport. This position will be based at our clients homes in Stockport supporting children with emotional and behavioral difficulties.
It is essential that the successful support worker has a minimum of 12 months experience working in a similar role. The purpose of this job is to provide physical, health, emotional and social care to the young people being looked after.
A DBS check covering both adults and children is essential for this position.
A full UK driving licence is preferred but not essential for this role.
Duties of this role as a residential support worker will include
Providing a caring, safe, secure and accepting environment
Supporting with domestic duties
Key working responsibilities
Maintaining a good level of awareness around health and safety and safeguarding
Supporting children with complex needs
Contribute to development, implementation and review of systems and policies
Maximising educational opportunities
Establish and maintain positive working relationships with communities, carers and families
Adhering to all health and safety and safeguarding at all times
The successful senior residential social care worker must:
Be able to manage challenging behaviours
Be flexible
Have the ability to motivate
Be engaging
Have good written and verbal communication
