Description
We are seeking experienced Building Surveyors to join our dynamic team, where you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the structural integrity and compliance of various building projects. As a Building Surveyor, you will be responsible for conducting thorough inspections, assessments, and evaluations of residential and commercial properties to identify any defects or regulatory issues. You will provide expert advice on building legislation and act as a crucial link between clients, contractors, and local authorities to ensure smooth project delivery. Your expertise will not only aid in maintaining high standards of safety but also enhance property value by identifying opportunities for improvement. You will be engaged in both pre and post-construction phases, enabling clients to make informed decisions regarding alterations, renovations, or repairs. As part of our team, you will collaborate with architects, engineers, and planners to ensure projects are executed efficiently and effectively, adhering to all relevant regulations. This role requires a dedicated professional who is organized, detail-oriented, and possesses excellent communication skills to convey complex information clearly. Responsibilities
Conduct detailed inspections of properties and buildings for compliance with regulations
Prepare written reports, outlining findings, recommendations, and any necessary actions
Advise clients on building design, construction practices, and legal requirements
Review building plans and specifications to ensure adherence to codes and standards
Coordinate with architects, engineers, and construction teams on project developments
Assess the condition of buildings and provide recommendations for maintenance and repairs
Address any building-related disputes and provide expert testimony when required
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Building Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field
Relevant professional certification or membership with a recognized organization
Proven experience in building surveying or a related field
Strong knowledge of building regulations, codes, and legislation
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team on various projects
Hours Per Week: 37.00
Start Time: 08:00
End Time: 16:00
Pay Per Hour: £28.50
