Summary
We have an exciting opportunity for a talented, dynamic and committed teacher of Biology to join Loughborough Sixth Form College for a 1-year maternity cover.
You will prepare and plan innovative and effective lessons, monitor the performance of students against their targets and provide effective intervention strategies to ensure the success of all students in meeting or exceeding their target grade.
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering Y12 and Y13 A level Biology teaching and will be expected to make significant contributions to the outcomes of the area. They will also plan and deliver small group intervention work.
A relevant degree is essential and applicants must already have a teaching qualification. You will also have strong interpersonal and organisational skills and work effectively in a large team.
The Sixth Form is a priority department for Loughborough College and we are looking for candidates who will work to build on successful outcomes within this area and embrace exciting and innovative modes of delivery. We are currently delivering via a blended learning model so you must be confident with digital technologies and remote classrooms.
We can consider applicants wanting a full time contract or a part time (0.8) role.
