Summary

Graphic Designer

Location: Runcorn, Cheshire, WA7 3DL.

Salary: Up to £30,000.

Contract: Full time, permanent.

Hours: Monday to Friday 08:30 to 16:50.

Graphic Designer Role

We are looking for a versatile and detail-oriented Graphic Designer to join our marketing team. This role combines creative design expertise with hands-on production skills, focusing on creating visual assets and producing physical materials. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in designing, producing, and delivering both digital and printed content while ensuring brand consistency and high-quality standards.

Graphic Designer Responsibilities

Design & Content Creation

- Develop visually appealing and brand-consistent graphics for newsletters, the websites and blogs, social media, wall art, presentation slides, and signage (digital and printed)

- Edit and enhance PDF documents to meet professional standards

- Operate and maintain large-format printing machines

Project Management

- Manage multiple design and production projects simultaneously

- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to gather feedback and refine designs

Graphic Designer Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree in graphic design, visual communication, marketing, or a related field is preferred but not essential. Between two and five years in a graphic design or similar role is a must.

Graphic Designer Skills and Competencies

- Proficiency in design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, e.g. Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign & Express; Canva; Mailchimp; Microsoft PowerPoint; and Notepad++

- Basic knowledge of HTML or experience with a CMS such as WordPress

- Strong understanding of typography, colour theory, and layout principles

- Knowledge of file preparation for print production

- Experience operating large-format printers and cutters is an advantage

- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work

- Time management skills and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
