Some examples of our projects include; evaluation of digital-first primary care (such as GP at Hand) and Primary Care Networks, modelling future levels of hospital activity and production of a tool to help support local areas for long term planning; evaluating the success of new ways of delivering care to patients as part of the delivery of the NHS Long term plan; analysis to understand the drivers behind cancer waiting times; analysis of the drivers behind the growth in GP referrals; and modelling to support the Maternity Review including development of a model for understanding and planning midwifery workload.

This role is available in Reading, Runcorn, London or Leeds.

Medicines Value and Access (MVA) Directorate seeks to develop evidence based / data driven policies that support best outcomes for patient access, while securing value for money from medicines.

Data and Analytics within MVA provides insight and evidence to inform these policies and commercial activities.

Senior Analyst in the Medicine Procurement and Supply Chain (MPSC) team will work as part of a dynamic analytical team on supporting the procurement of medicines and management of framework agreements to enable efficiencies in the procurement and security of supply of medicines to the NHS.

The post holder will work closely and collaboratively within the MPSC analytical team and across all MPSC category teams on tenders and contract management.

The post holder will also liaise with NHS trusts, contracted suppliers and other external stakeholders on the collection of required data and provision of information and insights on medicines spend and achieved savings.
