SAVS are looking to recruit a:
Volunteer Hub Coordinator
24 hours per week (Mon – Thur)
Salary: £26,000 per annum, pro rata

Upon completion of probation: Birthday leave & Wellbeing day
This post is currently funded until 31 March 2028
SAVS supports, promotes and represents the Voluntary, Community, Faith and Social Enterprise (VCFSE) sector in Southend. This role will provide a volunteer service that connects people in the community wishing to volunteer in charities/community groups and will provide a brokerage service for charities/groups who require volunteers.
The purpose of this post is to champion volunteering and good practice across the Voluntary Community Sector to enable a thriving sector and contribute to reductions in health inequalities for individual volunteering and the beneficiaries of their volunteer hours.
Main duties:
• To manage the day to day running of the Volunteer Hub in accordance with core values and principle of Volunteer Essex
• Attend Essex CVS Volunteer Forms
• Provide a brokerage service, advising and directing prospective volunteers and offering follow up support
• Achieve all targets set by funders and provide quarterly reports
• Promote volunteering widely throughout Southend using a range of methods eg: presentations, forums, social media and events
• Develop positive relationships with voluntary sector organisations to support them in their recruitment and retention of volunteers
The successful candidate will have experience of working or volunteering in the voluntary sector and have experience of supporting volunteers.
