Are you an enthusiastic and skilled HLTA with a passion for improving learner outcomes in literacy, numeracy, and digital learning? We are looking for an experienced Higher-Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to lead targeted interventions, support the IDP process, and help raise standards across our school.
About the Role:
As our HLTA for Literacy, Numeracy, and Digital Learning, you will:
• Deliver high-quality interventions in literacy, numeracy, and digital skills to boost learner
achievement and close learning gaps.
• Collaborate with class teachers to plan, implement, and assess targeted support for learners identified through the Individual Development Plan (IDP) process.
• Lead small group and one-to-one sessions, using evidence-based strategies to support learners with a range of additional learning needs (ALN).
• Monitor and evaluate the progress of learners, using data to inform practice and adapt interventions as needed.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of whole-school strategies to enhance literacy, numeracy, and digital learning, supporting teachers with resources and guidance.
• Support the IDP process by working closely with learners, families, and staff to ensure person-centred, tailored interventions that meet individual needs.
• Foster a positive learning environment that encourages learner engagement and promotes confidence in using literacy, numeracy, and digital skills across the curriculum.
About You:
We are looking for someone who:
• Holds a HLTA qualification or equivalent, with experience in delivering effective interventions in literacy, numeracy, and digital learning.
• Has a strong understanding of additional learning needs (ALN) and the IDP process, with a commitment to person-centred planning and support.
• Is knowledgeable about current best practices in literacy and numeracy teaching, as well as digital learning tools and technologies.
• Demonstrates excellent communication and organisational skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with teachers, support staff, and families.
• Is proactive, resourceful, and passionate about driving high standards and helping learners reach their full potential.
• Has experience using data to track learner progress and inform intervention planning.
