Summary
Main duties of the job Greet patients in a friendly and professional manner as they arrive. Answer phone calls, handle inquiries, and schedule appointments. Assist patients with filling out forms and collecting necessary documentation (e.g., insurance details). Handle cancellations, no-shows, and reminders to ensure the GP's schedule is efficiently maintained. Process patient payments, issue receipts. Communicate effectively with GPs, nurses, and other staff members to ensure patients are seen in a timely manner. Handle any administrative tasks that support the daily operations of the practice, including managing emails and sorting mail. Adhere to all privacy and confidentiality standards, including patient confidentiality. Assist with managing patient flow to minimize waiting times. Handle any emergencies or special requests from patients efficiently and calmly. Perform other duties as assigned by your Line Manager. Operate clinical computer system (system one) and have strong IT skills. Qualifications - GCSE standard or equivallent.
