JOB DESCRIPTION: Outreach & Evangelism Minister
JOB OVERVIEW:
Wonderful Gospel Ministries (WGM), based in Birmingham, is a vibrant and fast-growing Church of God serving a multi-ethnic community in the United Kingdom. We are seeking a committed and Spirit-filled Minister of Religion to join our team as an Outreach & Evangelism Minister. This role requires a dedicated, born-again Christian with a passion for spreading the Gospel and equipping others for ministry.
• Salary: £20,930 per year
• Hours: 35 hours per week, including weekends. Additional hours may be required to meet the needs of the ministry.
PRIMARY ROLE:
The Outreach & Evangelism Minister will work closely with the Lead Minister to champion and implement the church's vision for outreach and evangelism.
FUNCTIONS AND AUTHORITY:
The successful candidate will lead and oversee WGM’s Outreach & Evangelism Team, ensuring alignment with the church's mission.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Leadership and Oversight:
o Provide leadership in evangelism under the guidance of the Lead Minister.
o Oversee the Outreach & Evangelism Team, ensuring its effectiveness and growth.
2. Training and Equipping:
o Teach, train, and mentor team members to share the Gospel effectively.
o Equip congregants to evangelize within their spheres of influence.
3. Discipleship:
o Meet with congregation members to encourage spiritual growth and maturity.
4. Preaching and Teaching:
o Preach and teach the Bible in accordance with WGM's doctrinal statement during Sunday services and other church events as needed.
5. Administrative Support:
o Assist with church office administration tasks as required.

• Spiritual Qualifications:
o A personal commitment to Christ and a clear sense of God’s calling to ministry.
o A thriving prayer life and passion for ministry.
• Interpersonal Skills:
o Ability to work effectively with people from diverse backgrounds.
o Strong people management, team-building, and motivational skills.
o Friendly, adaptable, and approachable, with a good sense of humor and humility.
• Professional Skills:
o Proven ability to deliver training and mentor individuals.
o Time management skills with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
o Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Other Skills:
o Ability to evangelize and train others effectively, sharing faith, testimony, and scripture.
o Understanding of safeguarding and confidentiality principles.
o Creativity and adaptability in ministry.
• Cultural Awareness:
o Commitment to anti-discriminatory practices and inclusivity.
o Knowledge of additional languages such as Hausa or Yoruba is a plus.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
• Degree or diploma in theology (required).
• Ministerial ordination certificate (required).
• At least three years of ministry experience in a Pentecostal church is advantageous.
• Proficiency in English (essential).
