Summary
Key Responsibilities: Patient Care: Provide high-quality, evidence-based primary care to patients of all ages, including diagnosing, treating, and managing acute and chronic conditions. Clinical Duties: Conduct patient consultations, perform physical examinations, order and interpret diagnostic tests, prescribe medication, and offer health promotion advice. Patient Records: Maintain accurate, up-to-date patient records in compliance with legal and ethical standards, ensuring confidentiality and adhering to NHS guidelines. Team Collaboration: Work effectively with practice nurses, healthcare assistants, and administrative staff to ensure seamless patient care. Clinical Leadership: Actively contribute to the development and implementation of practice protocols, best practices, and quality improvement initiatives. Continuing Professional Development: Participate in ongoing professional development, training, and meetings, keeping up-to-date with current medical practices and healthcare policies. Patient Education: Provide patients with information and advice on preventative care, healthy lifestyles, and the management of long-term conditions. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant NHS regulations, including safeguarding policies, infection control, and health and safety standards.
