Summary
What skills and experience we're looking for
We are seeking to appoint a Designated Teaching Assistant (maternity cover) to support the work of the SEND Department for pupils with SEND, complex and/or additional needs. The post-holder will be required to support the physical needs and care of pupils.
The successful candidate will have at least GCSE English & Maths and NVQ 2 (or equivalent) and two years relevant experience would be an advantage. A willingness and ability to undertake any necessary training is essential for the post.
The successful candidate will be expected to support pupils in the classroom as well as to provide additional support, personal care and intervention. We would particularly welcome applications from candidates with previous experience of supporting pupils with SEND needs/disabilities within the classroom.
