Summary
PICTURE FRAMER (Multiple Positions Available)
We are looking to expand our framing team, with multiple positions available. We are a friendly, dedicated, ambitious company, supplying artists, galleries, publishers and museums with framing solutions.
We produce many different types of frames from conservation standard, bespoke framing, shirt framing, photography framing, contract framing and canvas stretching.
The roles are based at our workshop in South Woodham Ferrers, Chelmsford, CM3.
Experience & Skills
Minimum 1 year previous experience as a picture framer.
If no previous experience as a framer, then 2 years minimum experience as a second-fix carpenter or a bench joiner would be essential.
Good quality work and an eye for fine detail is necessary.
Ability to work independently to tight deadlines and across multiple projects simultaneously.
Responsibilities
Measure, cut, and assemble frames according to customer specifications.
Cutting glass, mount board, foam board, backing boards and other materials.
Select appropriate materials and tools for framing projects.
Mount artwork using various techniques, including float-mounting.
Maintain a clean and organised work area.
Machinery and tools you will use include:
Morso
Circular saw-cutting machines
Underpinners, various models
Point drivers
CNC mount cutting machines

Pay: £25k to £32k per annum – dependent on experience
