Summary
Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Steel Fitters Mate to join our team. As a Steel Fitters Mate, you will work closely with steel fitters to assist in the installation and assembly of structural steel components. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a strong work ethic and a passion for construction.
Responsibilities
- Assist steel fitters in the installation and assembly of structural steel components
- Transport and handle steel materials and equipment
- Follow safety protocols and guidelines at all times
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors
Qualifications
- Valid CSCS card
- Previous experience in the construction industry, particularly working with structural steel
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team
Day-to-day
- Working closely with steel fitters to carry out tasks efficiently
- Handling and transporting steel materials and equipment
- Following safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a secure work environment
- Collaborating with team members and communicating effectively to complete projects successfully
