Summary
What skills and experience we're looking for
MAIN ACTIVITIES
• Undertake the open up and lock up of the school site and buildings, maintaining a high security procedure
• Undertake minor maintenance and DIY and a programme of general maintenance and housekeeping to ensure the school is clean and safe for all to use
• To operate the heating, lighting, fire alarm, burglar alarm etc
• To complete various safety checks, e.g. COSHH, Legionella, Fire across the whole school – daily, weekly, monthly and termly
• To report major items for repair to senior staff and arrange for quotes where necessary to repair
• To initiate and maintain contact with contractors for regular planned maintenance and ‘one off’ jobs
• To arrange three quotations for works/projects
• To oversee contractors and deliveries on site ensuring goods are stored in the correct place
• Undertake any other appropriate duties as assigned by senior staff
